Yola - Nigeria, January 4, 2024 - Yola Electricity Distribution Company (YEDC) is pleased to announce the launch of a Customer Tagging Exercise, a project that aims to improve the billing, metering and customer service for its valued customers. The Customer Tagging Exercise is a project that will collect the identification, email addresses and phone numbers of all customers on the Distribution Transformers (DTs) and Feeders in the service area. This will enable YEDC to provide faster and better service to its customers, such as accurate billing, prompt fault resolution, and effective communication.
The project will be implemented in two phases: the first phase will target customers under the Jimeta Business Unit who have private or dedicated DTs, which are owned by specific customers or groups of customers. These customers will receive a letter from YEDC soon, explaining the benefits of the project and seeking their consent. YEDC urges these customers to cooperate and respond to the letter as soon as possible. The second phase will cover customers who are connected to public DTs, which are shared by multiple customers. These customers will be visited by YEDC’s Technical and Commercial officers soon, who will tag the DTs and collect their details. YEDC requests these customers to cooperate and provide accurate information. The Customer Tagging Exercise will commence on January 8, 2024. This is a great opportunity for customers to improve their service quality and satisfaction.
